Surgical Services Whether a surgery is planned or unexpected, Surgical Services at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center is there for you. Trained Surgical Staff is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The facility has wonderful professional, trained surgeons for all your needs. We have 2 highly trained General Surgeons, 5 highly trained OB/GYN Surgeons, one Orthopedic Surgeon specialized in Sports Medicine Arthroscopies of shoulders and knees, 1 highly trained Pediatrist, 1 Opthomologist, 2 wonderful Ear/Nose/Throat Surgeons and 1 highly recommended Gastroenterologist.

Our Facility has 3 Operating rooms and 1 Endoscopy suite located in Surgery, 4 Recovery Room bays, 7 outpatient surgery rooms, and one state-of-the-art Cesarean Section room located in the new Women’s Center.  Also located in the surgical area is the Outpatient Testing Area, here our staff performs pre-operative interviews, Intramuscular injections, Intravenous medications such as antibiotics, and Intravenous Blood Transfusions.

Our staff includes:

Outpatient—2 Registered Nurses here to make your pre-operative and post-operative experience the best.

Surgery- 4 Registered Nurses trained in Perioperative procedures and nursing care. 4 Surgical Technicians trained in Perioperative procedures.

Recovery- one to two Registered Nurses trained in postoperative nursing care.

Outpatient testing- one to two Registered Nurses trained in pre-operative testing/interviews and giving Intravenous medicines/blood, and Intramuscular injections.

The Gastroenterologist is highly trained in Endogastroduodenoscopies and Colonoscopies. We have 5 trained gastroenterology registered nurses and one technician. The facility has 2 procedure rooms and 2 recovery rooms in this area.
